Although Gateway Services receives most of our funding through the State of Illinois, we rely on the support of our loyal donors to provide essential services.  In order to ensure that we are able to provide our programs, we host several fundraisers.

Our longest running fundraiser, Phone-A-Thon, continues to be our most successful fundraiser.  Phone-A-Thon is similar to a telethon where volunteers call past supporters for pledges.

In the winter months, we hold "Trivia Night" in Henry.  This consists of 10 rounds of random trivia questions with 10 questions per round.  Teams compete to prove they are the smartest!  In addition to the trivia, there is a meal, silent auction, raffle, 50/50, and door prizes.  The top 3 teams win cash prizes.

The Super Hero Showdown 5K is held each June at the Bureau County Fairgrounds.  Runners and walkers compete for bragging rights and medals.  Hero or villain attire is optional but fun!  This year, we are introducing a "Duck Drop" where participants can purchase a rubber duck suited in hero or villain costume with the hopes that the duck will hit a target for cash or other prizes.

We recently hosted our first-ever Rip's Chicken Fundraiser and plan to make this an annual event.  In addition to the world-famous chicken, diners were able to buy raffle tickets for donated baskets, 50/50 tickets for a cash prize, and many baked goods.

Please support local businesses and shop local when possible; when you can't, please choose us on Amazon Smile.  0.5% of the purchase price is directed to Gateway Services to help us support our mission.
